MAMMA MIA! is written by Catherine Johnson with music & lyrics by Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus. The production is directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast. It is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material & arrangements by Martin Koch.

Christine Sherrill, who last enjoyed the role of Donna during her residency with the Las Vegas company of MAMMA MIA!, is leading the tour as Donna Sheridan. She will be joined by rising star Alisa Melendez as Sophie Sheridan, who was recently seen on Broadway in Almost Famous. Joining the two are MAMMA MIA! alumni, Carly Sakolove as Rosie and Victor Wallace as Sam Carmichael. Principal casting also includes Jalynn Steele as Tanya, Rob Marnell as Harry Bright, Jim Newman as Bill Austin, and Grant Reynolds as Sky.

“My introduction to ‘Mamma Mia!’ was my parents,” Alisa Melendez, starring as Sophie, said. “It was the first Broadway show they ever saw when they went to New York City together when I was really young. They came back with that soundtrack, and I fell in love with it.” She continued, “I didn’t think I’d ever get to be Sophie, because I didn’t think I ever looked like what I saw, which is usually — and everything I’ve seen — a shorter, smaller, blonde, white young girl. And that is not what I am. I am about 5’9”, pushing 5’10”, Mexican girlie, Latina woman. I never thought [I could be Sophie] physically, and I thought my tone was different — my vocal sounds.”

Completing the ensemble are Louis Griffin, Patrick Park, L’Oréal Roaché, Haley Wright, Gabe Amato, Adia Olanethia Bell, Xavi Soto Burgos, Emily Croft, Madison Deadman, Jordan De Leon, Nico DiPrimio, Patrick Dunn, Stephanie Genito, Tassy Kirbas, Danny Lopez-Alicea, Makoa, Faith Northcutt, Jasmine Overbaugh, Gray Phillips, Blake Price, Dorian Quinn, and Amy Weaver.
