Brooms, mops, garbage cans, water fountain containers, Zippo lighters, matchboxes, and all other forms of scraps are most likely to find their way whenever Stomp hits the stage. The energizing beats, infectious rhythms, stufeying dance and choreography all blend in one electrifying music and theatrical experience. Stomp is just not all crash-boom-bang. It has an invigorating plot brought to life by impressive talent and artistry of an all-star cast. Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas created Stomp in Brighton, United Kingdom in 1991. It had a preview show at the London's Bloomsbury Theatre and premiered at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh. Audiences loved it and critics were not far behind in giving it all praises as it has reaped the Guardian's "Critic's Choice" and won the Daily Express's "Best of the Fringe" award. In 1994, Stomp received a 'Best Entertainment Award' nomination from Olivier, no less; as well as bagging the 'Best Chorerography Award' from the West End show. Since then, Stomp has been harvesting citations from all over which include an Obie Award and a Drama Desk Award for Most Unique Theatre Experience.
