Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jill Scott, a singer, songwriter, actress, poet, and spoken word artist has a great many talents at her disposal. First gaining public attention with her vocals on the Roots Grammy Award-winning song “You Got Me,” and subsequent live performance with the band, she went on to release her debut album, “Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1” to widespread critical acclaim and popularity. Her follow up albums, “Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2” and “The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3” went on to achieve similar success.

Alongside, she made her first film appearances in “Hounddog” and “Why Did I Get Married”.
